Hey there mamas, hope you’re having a fine day!

We as busy moms can sometimes lose sight of the small things, and forget how much the little touches we provide actually matter to our kids. So today let’s talk all about these important little touches. Read on!

The Little Touches Of A Busy Mom

For a lot of mothers who juggle with the difficulties of managing a business and the challenges of looking after a child, there is nothing more heartbreaking than hearing your child complain about the lack of time you’ve got for them. Unfortunately, for a lot of mompreneurs, time is exactly what they struggle with on a daily basis. While every mother will tell you their child is their first priority and that they would always drop everything to look after a sick child, there are many situations where children may wrongly believe that your career is the priority. So it’s important to make sure that you’ve organized your life in such a way that your child knows he or she is what matters the most to you and that they are always in your heart. As a busy single mom, you need to be smart about how you show your affection, especially because your time is an essential part of your ability to generate the only income. With also being the only parent, your time is so much more important.

Their bedroom, their style

If you’ve been looking for an idea to treat your child, you can already forget about buying more toys or clothes. Indeed, you need to help them to create a space that is theirs at home, namely with a bedroom makeover. The bedroom can be a reflection of their personalities and tastes, and more importantly, it’s a way to show that you respect their choices. While you can surprise them with a fully planned project, it’s best to involve them from the early stages of the decor research until the selection of the furniture. As their mother, this will show them that you value their opinions. Read my post all about how to gift your kids with the best bedroom makeover ever! Click here!

Don’t let business trips come between you

Your career can sometimes take you out of town for a couple of days. If this is the case, and even though you know you can rely on a relative or a friend to look after your child, it’s important to plan something for each day. For instance, you could record your voice on a CD with professional sound mastering from a company such as Nationwide Disc for them to listen before going to bed. Or you could make a small DIY doll each time you have to spend a night away. Being apart from you is a big deal with a child, so you need to show that you still think of them.

Quality time every day

Finally, at the end of the day, you may just want to relax in peace. But you need to block in your busy schedule time to cultivate your bond with your child. Creating quality time doesn’t mean that you can’t work during the day. This is why working from home is always the best choice for moms, but it’s still important to remember that you just need to put aside your business and household duties every evening for one hour to dedicate this time entirely to your child. Your time together can become a routine. It doesn’t have to be long if you’re busy. But you need to maintain a bond through games, reading or simply a chat about your respective days.

Bonding while busy with home business management is never easy. But you’ll find that showing your child that you value their opinions, maintain a connection even when you’re away and make a point of spending time together when you’re at home can go a long way. Finding the work/mom balance isn’t always easy, but it’s worth the effort, always. Give this post a like, or share and remember that on this crazy single mom journey, you are never alone! 🙂
