Beauty Tips For Preparing For Vacation
Exfoliate Your Skin
At least three weeks prior to your tropical vacation, you should exfoliate your skin. As someone who loves soft and smooth skin, exfoliating is always my friend. Buy a salt or sugar scrub, exfoliating tool (brush, loofah, or gloves), and get to scrubbing! This will get rid of dead skin and leave you as soft as a newborn baby. However, don’t exfoliate too much because it can cause irritation and redness.
Exfoliating regularly, at least once a week is a great way to keep your skin healthy, soft, and glowing whether you’re about to rock a bikini, or not! My current favorite scrub is this raspberry lemon sugar scrub from Era Organics.
Get a Manicure and Pedicure
Pamper yourself and prepare for a vacation by getting a manicure and pedicure. You can roam around your destination with cute hands and toes and look great in your vacation photos! If I were going on vacation, I would want to try bold colors like bright orange, electric blue, or fuchsia to switch up my look and embrace all the vacay vibes!
Achieve a Pre-Vacation Glow
Nothing says “tropical beach babe” more than a glow sponsored by a quality tan. Before traveling, achieve a pre-vacation glow by using a self-tanner. Although you will soak in the sun at your destination, you can arrive with an “I’ve been here for days” look. Grab your favorite self-tanner and get a healthy glow by applying small amounts of the product over your body and rubbing it in circular motions. Trust me; you will look radiant!
P.S: Don’t forget the sunscreen! Make sure you pack a non-toxic and reef-safe sunscreen to protect you from all those rays you will be getting! Sun damage can really ruin a vacation if you’re not careful! Oh, and have some after-sun care on hand too!
Consider Unwanted Hair Removal
A week before your vacation, consider unwanted hair removal. Whether it’s underarms, legs, or bikini area, you can get rid of those unwelcome guests. There are a few ways you can do hair removal, but I recommend shaving or waxing. You can achieve smooth skin from both methods, but if you can tolerate slight discomfort, waxing is the way to go. You can follow the complete guide to waxing to help you do this method at home!
