How To Make Your Child’s Birthday Special in Lockdown
Hey mamas,
Many businesses are closing their doors again because COVID-19 still has people in fear. As disheartening as this is, moms across the country should try their hardest to stay strong for their kiddos.
For example, you should go out of your way to make their birthday as unique as you can this year. Follow this guide on how to make your child’s birthday special in lockdown if the date is quickly approaching.
My son’s birthday is coming up soon and I know I am struggling to come up with a solid idea, so I thought this post would be super helpful for us all!
How To Make Your Child’s Birthday Special In Lockdown
Breakfast in Bed
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it gives folks the energy they need to get moving. Perhaps consider making your little one an all-star breakfast in bed for this birthday this year.
A unique recipe like sweet potato pancakes with peach berry compote will blow their mind. Sure, it’ll take some extra time to prepare, but it’ll all be worth it when you see the smile on your mini-me’s face.
Car Parade
Car parade videos are all over social media these days. It’s so amazing to see someone get emotional when they realize people went out of their way to make their day memorable. Please, consider doing the same for your child celebrating their birthday in lockdown.
Perhaps start by calling your kid’s friends’ parents. Explain to them that your original plans were ruined because of the pandemic. Although your kiddo may not be able to play with their pals like normal, they’ll be so happy to see them in the parade.
Movie Night
Another tip on how to make your child’s birthday special in lockdown is to have a movie night with them. Go all out to let them know you care and you’re trying to make their day stand out. Maybe decorate the room like a true movie theater and hang film reels on the walls.
Don’t forget to darken the space and make some popcorn for everyone to join. Of course, the person of honor should choose whatever flick you decide to watch.
I hope these ideas spark your creativity and you find a way to make your child’s birthday feel special and exciting even during this challenging time. Oh, and wish me luck with my kid’s birthday as well. He’s turning the big 1-0 this year! can you believe it?!
