The Best Cars For Your Small Family
Hey Hey mamas!
So in this post, I am doing something a little bit different than what I normally do here on the blog. As single moms, we have to do everything on our own, and this includes searching for the best vehicle for our family. So I am going to help you out in that department by going over the best cars for small families. Let’s get into this!
The Best Cars For Your Small Family
When it comes to looking for family cars, you tend to get reviews that assume you need something that will accommodate a family of five or more people. For those of us with smaller families, this can be a little frustrating, as you want something that ticks many of the boxes that these articles focus on (safety, low cost, and reliability) but doesn’t necessarily need a set of wheels that can fit a whole nursery of children inside. So, what vehicles best suit smaller families? Here are just three to consider!
Mazda 3
The Mazda 3 could prove to be such a great car when it comes to accommodating a small family’s needs. The outright cost of the vehicle will depend entirely on whether you purchase new or secondhand, but either way, it comes with a competitive price tag and you can take out a loan with the best auto loan interest rates to purchase the vehicle and payback in smaller installments.
The vehicle also has great fuel economy, which means you’ll fork out less for fuel. It has been rated as extremely safe (which is essential when you have little ones on board). It’s also commonly renowned as being one of the most reliable cars on the market, which means you don’t have to worry as much about breaking down and requiring roadside assistance, which can be a little daunting when it’s just you and your little one on the road.
Toyota Aygo
The Toyota Aygo is a compact city vehicle, which makes it perfect for those of us who will mainly use it for the school run, heading to and from work, and nipping to the supermarket. There is only one engine available for this model – a 1.0 liter, but this also ensures that you use less fuel and pay less road tax to drive it! It is available with three or five doors, but we’d recommend five doors for family use – it’s relatively difficult getting your kid in and out of a three-door safely. If you’re looking for no-nonsense and no fuss, this could prove perfect for you!
Hyundai i10
The Hyundai i10 is yet another vehicle designed for city driving. It maneuvers roads well, is relatively compact for irritating, inner city parking, but doesn’t compromise on interior space, so car seats and booster seats will fit well. It has low insurance costs, is quite cheap to buy and comes with a range of impressive, bright exteriors. It also has five doors as standard, which we cannot emphasize the importance of! Opt for the 1-liter engine to fork out less on fuel consumption than the 1.2 model.
These are just three different cars that are currently on the market, but they should suit your small family down to a tee! They encompass the low cost, spacious dream that will meet all of your needs as well as your little one’s needs!
